Training went well today. I learned so much and I really can't wait to share all that I'm learning with teachers. There are so many useful tools out there, its exciting to know I have the opportunity to help make their lives a little easier.
I really really liked Google Docs. Having the documents and presentations online will make life much simpler. Not only can someone edit the document from anywhere they have an internet connection, but they don't have to worry about saving it to a specific device in order to transport it to another computer. I don't see why more teachers don't use this in their classrooms! I also enjoyed learning how to use Google Earth.
Having Paris, France or London, England at my finger tips is so fascinating! I think this is an awesome tool teachers can use in their classroom!
I'm looking forward to day 2 of training. There is still so much to learn!

ReplyDeleteThe google documents were one of my favorites, other than the blogger. I think I commented to someone else that if I had known google documents held all of the Microsoft Office templates, I would have been using it a long time ago!

Google docs is a powerful tool in the schools. I use it all the time! I also love Google Earth. We'll be learning many more tools this week! Glad you are enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you're exploring the features of Blogger and trying to make your blog as exciting and fun as you can. One thing I wanted to mention, though, is that you should be aware of the colors you use for your text and background. The blue and green you selected makes it very difficult to read, and this will be even worse for older teachers who aren't used to using blogging. You want to make it as easy to read as possible.
